Privacy Policy

Overview

Big Brain Barbell is developed and operated by Tarnished Edge Labs LLC. Big Brain Barbell is designed with privacy as a core principle. All your training data is stored locally on your device and, if you choose, synced via your personal iCloud account. We do not operate servers or collect your training data. The only information transmitted from the App is crash and error reports sent to a third-party monitoring service, as described below.

Data Storage

All data you enter into Big Brain Barbell — including your profile, programs, training sessions, and progress — is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, your data may sync across your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy.

We have no access to your iCloud data.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not collect usage analytics or telemetry
• We do not require an account or login
• We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
• We do not collect or transmit your training data, workout history, or profile information

Crash & Error Reporting

In release builds, Big Brain Barbell uses Sentry, a third-party error monitoring service, to automatically collect crash and error reports. This helps us identify and fix issues that affect app stability.

What Sentry collects:

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• Error and crash details (stack traces, error messages)
• Breadcrumbs — a log of app events leading up to a crash (e.g., "user navigated to settings")
• App version and build number

What Sentry does not collect:

• Your name, email, or any personal information
• Your training data, workout history, or profile information
• Performance or usage analytics (performance tracing is disabled)

Crash reporting is not active in debug/development builds. Sentry's privacy practices are governed by Sentry's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Big Brain Barbell integrates with the following third-party services:

• Apple iCloud: If enabled, syncs your training data across your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account. Handled entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple StoreKit: Processes subscription purchases through your Apple ID. Governed by Apple's terms and policies.
• Sentry: Receives crash and error reports in release builds, as described above.

No other third-party services receive data from the App.

Children's Privacy

Big Brain Barbell does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not collect personal information from any user. Crash and error reports sent to Sentry contain only technical device and error information and do not include any personal or identifying data.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete any training data within the app, or uninstall the app to remove all associated data from your device. If you use iCloud sync, you can manage your iCloud storage through your device settings.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
